Who was Krishna?

Who was Krishna?

"Krishna is the Hindu god of compassion, tenderness, and love"

As the god of love, why didn't he ask the Pandavas and Kauravas to make peace amongst themselves?

"He must've tried. In fact, Krishna went to Duryodhan and requested for just 5 villages to be given to the Pandavas. Duryodhan refused Krishna and thus, Mahabharata happened."

Even if Duryodhan refused, Krishna could've helped the Pandavas capture 50 independent villages and avoid fighting their family members.

"The Pandavas needed revenge. Duryodhan needed to be taught a lesson.Hence, Krishna decided to participate in the Mahabharata"

But Krishna was not just a participant in the Mahabharata. He was its orchestrator as well. Which is why Gandhari curses him at the end. In his personal life too, Krishna could've forgiven Kamsa, his uncle, for the assassination attempt. And forgotten about revenge. He could've focused his life on spreading compassion, tenderness, and love amongst his population.
